ecoBritches products are cute and innovative. The diapers are made up of three components. The waterproof outer layer, 'keep baby dry' inner layer and a super absorbent insert.
The OUTER LAYER fabric is made of Bamboo Fiber and Cotton. The bamboo makes it a eco-friendly and naturally organic choice as bamboo grows very quickly and without the use of pesticides. Bamboo is also very soft and anti-microbial which makes it a healthy choice for your baby. The cotton adds strength, durability, and softness to this great fabric. The outer layer of ecoBritches diapers are as soft as your softest tee-shirts. This soft fabric is coated on the inside with PUL which keeps diaper contents contained.
The OUTER LAYER and our WET BAGS are made of the same waterproof material.
The INNER LAYER is an innovative Bamboo Charcoal (or Bamboo Carbon Fiber) Micro-Fleece. Bamboo Charcoal has many other uses in food and drink processing, water purification, and cosmetics. Bamboo charcoal is a great for cloth diapering because it absorbs odors and is anti-microbial. This material will wick moisture away from your baby's skin and through to the insert.
The INSERTS are some of the most absorbent on the market. They are made up of combination of bamboo, cotton, and microfiber. Bamboo is known for its absorbency, anti-microbial properties, and non-bulkiness while microfiber is known to be absorbent, strong, and long lasting. We decided to use a combination. Therefore, our 5 layer inserts are made of the same great fabric used in the outer layer of our diapers as well as 3 layers of micro-fiber material.
